AnimalSave’s Low Income Food Distribution Program is intended to supplement the food that families provide their companion animals. (The program is not available to commercial or government entities.) This food is not intended to be the sole source of food for your dogs, cats, or feral cat colonies.

We accept applications for this program from people who live in Nevada County. AnimalSave provides food only for animals that have been spayed or neutered.

Applications are available at the AnimalSave Thrift and Treasures store, or call  (530) 271-7071 for more information. In 2008 AnimalSave spent over $18,000 on food to help feed hungry Nevada County cats, dogs and feral cat colonies. We distributed over 35,000 pounds of pet food.

This program gladly accepts donations of money and dog and cat food.
