Because AnimalSave subsidizes the costs of spay/neuter services, we encourage you to pay the full fee, or even make an additional donation. The tables below show the costs: the full fee, and the fee if you qualify for low-income assistance. So for example, spaying a female dog weighing up to 49 pounds would cost $90 at full fee, $80 if you qualify for the low-income fee.
You don’t have to qualify for low-income status to use AnimalSave’s spay/neuter services.

Low-Income Status
Guidelines on qualifying for low-income status. We use Section 8 Housing Assistance parameters to determine qualifications for low-income status. You are eligible if the gross annual income received by all members in your household is less than the amounts that follow:
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $36,450 | $41,700 | $46,900 | $52,100 | $56,250 | $60,450 | $64,600 | $68,750 |
For example, if there are 4 persons in your household, you are eligible if total gross annual income does not exceed $52,100. You do not have to show proof of income, but will be required to sign a registration form at check-in, certifying the income information and agreeing to a cost estimate for services. If you are on Social Security or meet the income guidelines for another low-income assistance program, that information can be used for determining eligibility.
